The Blue Ridge Parkway has brought joy to many people's lives by showing them how amazing Mt. Mitchell and Looking Glass Falls can be here in NC. However, in the last two years, the budget has been cut in half, causing many people to not enjoy this place to the fullest. ⅔ of the land are currently vulnerable to logging and the other ⅓ might be vulnerable soon. This issue is very important to NC because it has been around for about 75 years and it should stay so that many people can go on a trip to the mountains. I personally want this parkway to be saved because I really like to hike, especially with my boy scout troop. I think that you should care about this issue because it’s important to keep nature alive before we destroy it. Some ways you could help bring back the budget is by sending a letter to the governor or taking a hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway. What are some ways that you can help prevent the destruction of this parkway? If you have one, list it below.

I agree with keeping the park open and not vulnerable to logging. I like all the facts about it also!

I love hiking and the things that the government is doing I think is not right because places like these are meant to enjoy and not to make money off of. Great blog post!
