Modern Day Korea has to do a lot with the book I am reading K-9 Korea. Currently in the book, they just arrived to South Korea to help fight the war. Just like in real life, many troops have to protect the South Korean border against the Dictatorship of North Korea. North Korea is currently under the Dictator of Kim Jong Un, who threatens to send over nuclear bombs and blow up the USA. Nobody is sure if North Korea will send over nukes, but many are frightened. In the book, The USA is fighting against North Korea to stop communism, but now a days, North Korea is a dictatorship. At the end of the Korean War, it ended up as a stalemate with both putting up walls and having their guns pointing at each other and hoping the enemy doesn't fire. And that is how these to conflicts relate to each other.

Right now I am reading a book called K-9 Korea, which is about different war dogs that helped fought in The Korean War. Currently in the book, North Korea has decided to invade South Korea, causing war to break out. This causes Many of the troops to ship out to Korea with their dogs to help fight the war. This also connected in time when North Korea actually invaded South Korea to spread communism. As said in softschools.com, "It began when communist North Korea invaded South Korea in 1950." In my book, the people of the USA were really worried and had to act swift before North Korea took over all of Korea. The same thing happened in real life. As soon as the government found out about the invasion, the USA sent over troops so they could stop North Korea from getting any more ground. Just like in the book, most of the soldiers had dogs to help them during the war. I think that anyone who is a dog person should read this book, because so far, it is a good book.
